Originally from New York City, Michael Novara has been living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for the past twenty years. He studies at Pittsburgh Filmmakers, is a member of the Pittsburgh Society of Artists guild, and AgWorks, a photographic artist’s collective.
His current interests lean toward documentary photography, and his work has been shown locally at a number of galleries as well as at the Silver Eye Center for Photography. A selection of his photographs of a local Amish community, seen here in the “Old Order” gallery, will be on exhibit at the Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts in July 2014. Other examples of his work can be found at http://www.agworkspgh.wordpress.com.
